Where it all began
Paul aged 7 and Susan aged 5 lived on the streets of Gitamaiyu, a small town, 23 km north of Nairobi in Kenya. Every day they would search for food and shelter. With their mother in police custody and with no state support they were left to fend for themselves. They had been walking the streets alone for weeks. In June 1998 David Hinga noticed Paul and Susan come into his church. He was so moved by their circumstances that he and his wife Alice took them into their home until their own mother was able to take care of them. Paul and Susan began and finished their education at what we know now as Tumaini Brooks School
Today, Paul and Susan are healthy and still in contact with David and Alice.

FEED
Food, something we take for granted in the west. Yet, providing 3 meals a day for our children is an invaluable gift to them
CLOTHE
This picture is real, simple delight at receiving two pairs of pants.
SHELTER
85% of our children live at the school, either because they are orphans or are unable to live at home
PROTECT
Protecting our children by providing a clean, safe, environment is an essential part of our work
EDUCATE
Education is the key to providing a long term future for our children. During 2025 we are adding vocational training to the curriculum
